This brand might still be in its infancy, but they’re doing absolutely everything right to grow into being one of the biggest CBD brands in the UK.
I have been highly impressed by their product range, while the next product I’m taking a closer look at are the jelly domes, which are GMO free and gluten free.
How Were They?
There were three flavours, being orange, lemon and grape, with the orange certainly being my favourite.
They achieve that great taste with natural flavourings, along with some corn syrup and refined sugar, while there are 2.2 grams of sugar per dome.
While you get a slight hint of hemp at the end, you don’t get that strong taste of cannabis that some gummies do have, which is good as this can sometimes be overwhelming.
The texture is smooth, much like the appearance and feel of a wine gum.
When it comes to packaging and branding, Purity Hemp Company are incredibly stylish. Whereas you normally get gummies in a generally cheap looking plastic container, this was in glass with a metal lid, which just instantly made it feel more premium.
How Many Do You Take?
They recommend taking 1-2 domes per day. Each jelly dome contains 10mg of CBD, so I opted for 4 in a day, split out with two in the morning and two in the early afternoon. With the FSA recommending you don’t go over 70mg in a 24 hour period, you can therefore have up to 7 domes.
You should normally start off low and build up based on your personal requirement, but you should remember that gummies take longer to work than oil, so you may want to take it in advance of when you require it.
They state THC free on the packaging, which is backed up by the lab report, showing the presence of CBD and a minor amount of CBDV.
CBDV, or cannabidivarin, is still being researched heavily in various studies, with some really interesting results.
They also produce gummy bears, which are 5mg of CBD per bear, which offers a cheaper alternative, but I’d always push to spend that bit extra and get the higher strength option.
Are These Organic?
Yes, the hemp is organically grown, meaning they don’t use any pesticides or chemical fertilisers in the growing process.
It’s important your hemp is organically grown, as it is highly porous, meaning it soaks up everything and this will pass through to the oil.
Throughout the website, you get a strong feel for their focus on traceability, something I strongly believe in, as greater transparency is something I’ve always pushed for through the blog and onto brands.
Where Can I Order This From?
You can order the Purity Hemp Company Jelly Domes from their website for £28. The pack contains 30 gummies, so it’s a cost of 93p per gummy.
You may also want to check out the Purity Hemp Co CBD Coffee before making a purchase, as these tasted amazing as well.
